Though it has only been around for a few years, it’s smooth and refined look makes you think that it has had more experience than a number of crossover models out there.

A Short History of the Cadillac XT4

Cadillac first introduced a teaser for the automobile during the 90th Academy Awards in 2018, though it wasn’t until the New York Auto Show in 2018 that the car officially debuted. The XT4 went into production during the 2019 year. It was made as an equivalent to the GMC Terrain and Chevrolet Equinox, though for luxury buyers. It is also the second of the Crossover Touring Series from Cadillac.

Unmistakable Technology and Performance of the Cadillac XT4

Look under the hood of the 2020 Cadillac XT4, and you’ll find a turbocharged four-cylinder engine that puts out 237 horsepower. This engine is paired with a nine-speed automatic transmission and drives using front or all-wheel-drive. The engine provides a 0-60 time of about 7.8 seconds.

The XT4 also provides a comfortable and spacious interior with stitched faux-leather. Each XT4 comes with a Cadillac CUE 8.0” infotainment system, which utilizes Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, and of course, on-board Wi-Fi. While a seven-speaker audio system is standard, drivers can upgrade to a 13-speaker Bose system. Some of the top safety features include standard forward-collision and available blind-spot monitoring.

The First Generation of the Cadillac XT4 (2019-Present)

As of right now, the Cadillac XT4 is still in its first generation. There have been no changes since its inception.

With that said, there is a long list of celebrity Cadillac owners, which includes A-list celebrities such as Adam Sandler, Kendall Jenner, Ben Affleck, and David Beckham.

Nissan Kicks

Over the past few years, the competition for high-quality SUVs has been on the rise.

Nissan finally decided to enter the game with the Nissan Kicks, providing drivers with a vehicle that is both practical and stylish. Though it may seem like just another Nissan from the outside, this may just be the vehicle that takes Nissan to meet its rivals at the top.

A Short History of the Nissan Kicks

The original concept for the Nissan Kicks came around back in 2014. The company decided that they would use the Nissan Kicks in showcases across Brazil to help promote the Summer Olympics in 2016. It was that year that Nissan was the lead sponsor for the Olympics. Luckily for them, this helped kickstart a successful production for the Kicks, which ended up replacing the Juke model in the U.S.

The Nissan Kicks – Inside and Out

The 2019 Nissan Kicks is powered by a 1.6L four-cylinder engine that gives drivers 125 horsepower. Obviously, it is not the most thrilling ride out there, though the variable automatic transmission gives you a bit more of a hands-on feel when it comes to shifting. Beyond speed, we love how nimble the Nissan Kicks feels, especially when compared to larger SUVs.

On the inside, you get the gorgeous Nissan Connect 7.0-inch infotainment system. It is easily the most intuitive infotainment system that is on the market. Beyond that, the vehicle comes with a high-fidelity six-speaker audio system and onboard Wi-Fi for the Google addicts of the world.

A First in its Timeline – the Nissan Kicks (2018-Present)

Unfortunately, not much has changed from the 2018 model that was first released. The Kicks is currently still in its first generation. Though it was released to the US in 2018, it didn’t find the Indian market until 2019. The difference is that the Indian version is built on a Dacia B0 platform. This helps the Indian market to cut production costs overall

Lamborghini Urus

If there is any car brand out there that continues to defy past traditions and throw curve balls at the market, that car brand is Lamborghini.

This is probably the main reason that they decided to completely shake things up and create the first super SUV that the world has ever seen. The ironic thing is, the industry laughed at the idea when Lamborghini came up with it. Now, the car can account for about 60% of all Lamborghini sales.

From the incredibly dynamic handling capabilities to the gorgeous interior design, there is truly no competition for this SUV.

Making the Lamborghini Urus Possible

The concept version of the Lamborghini Urus debuted at the Beijing Auto Show in 2012 before showing at Pebble Beach later in the same year. The idea that the Urus could be a daily driver for people was huge. It wasn’t until 2017 that the production version came to life. It had major exterior changes and a completely different powertrain.

Functionality Meets Passion – the Technology of the Lamborghini Urus

When it comes to the engine and handling of the 2019 Urus, it uses a 4.0L V-8 engine with a whopping 641 horsepower. It is powered by all-wheel-drive and a standard eight-speed automatic transmission. All of this gives it a 0-60 time of 3.2 seconds.

Mahindra Verito

The Mahindra Verito is a vehicle that was always searching for love, though never quite seemed to find it.

Sponsored Link

It was the product of a collaboration between Renault and Mahindra that eventually fell apart, leaving the Mahindra company to try and raise its child on its own. It is one of those vehicles that has been hanging on a thread for the past decade, though somehow seems to keep chugging along.

The Birth of Mahindra Verito

The Mahindra Verito came around back in 2007 after a 51:49 joint venture of the Mahindra and Renault companies. At the time, it was actually known as the “Logan.” For three years, the car was hitting high points on the Indian market until the joint venture disbanded, forcing Mahindra to purchase Renault’s 49% stake to keep the car in production. It wasn’t until 2011, a year after the disbanding, that it was given the Verito name.

Technology and Innovations of the Mahindra Verito

The 2019 Mahindra Verito comes complete with a 1.5L DCi CRDi Diesel engine that utilizes a four-cylinder eight-valve design, providing a measly 65 bhp. It uses forward drivetrain and five-speed manual transmission. Some of the top features of the Mahindra Verito include the High Mount Stop Lamp, the front disc brake, and the cabin heater. It also comes with some modern safety features including an automatic braking system and Electronic Brakeforce Distribution.

A Short Timeline of the Mahindra Verito (2011-Present)

Though the car had technically been rolling around since 2007, it wasn’t until 2011 that it received the Verito name. It was a carryover of Renault Logan with bland sedan styling and basic features. The only new things from the name switch were the Mahindra logo at the front, new upholstery, and new fog lamps.

Other than that, it came with many of the same features. The top variant included artificial wood inserts and a central dashboard layout. It finally received a bit of a facelift in 2012, and by 2013, the notchback version of the car was released. This model was known as the Verito Vibe.

The Mahindra Verito – a Surprising Survivor

The Mahindra Verito was never made to be anything special. It was one of those cars that was made to get consumers from point A to point B with ease and practicality. The company skimped out on many of the high-quality features that could be seen in other similar vehicles, which is likely the reason that the car is running close to its demise at this time.

It was finally released in India in 2009 and was available in both a 1.4L Fire petrol engine and a 1.3L MultiJet engine, though by 2011, the displacement and engines were upgraded for better fuel economy. In India, the four different engine variants are now available in the Active, Dynamic, Emotion, and Emotion Pack models.
